During this time, sports is always synonymous with reducing body weight. But according to the latest research is that sports do not affect the reducing body weight. As we know the sport burn calories, which is very important to reduce body weight. The problem is, after exercise, we will feel hungry and we will eat. If we exercise, but the food that is consumed more certainly will not cause reduce of body weight.

The problem is not on the selection of food but how sports trigger hunger. Hunger that is triggers someone to consume more calories. Then the question whether sport is required in the reducing body weight process?

The answer was quite surprising. According to the author in the health rubric of Time magazine, John Cloud, about study on comparative body weight of women, their body weight is not much different between those who exercise or not.

This study involving four women, three women do exercise with the different types with personal trainers for six months. Then, one woman only keep food and do not do exercise, the result is their body weight is not much different.

The other research also shows it so. Gary Taubes, author of “Good Calories, Bad Calories” make a conclusion which is similar with this study. Sport is important for maintaining health but not to lose weight. To keep body weight stable, so that can be done with the sport but not to lose weight.

Cloud said with the fact is not meaning the benefit of sport is overridden. Sport is still needed for the health but the effects are not significant for reducing body weight.
